The Dublin Leprechauns rallied for six runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the Martinez
Sturgeon 11-9 on June 4, 2026. Dublin finished with 12 hits and overcame a late 9-5 deficit to steal
the win on the road.
Martinez led for most of the game, scoring three runs in the third inning and adding two more in the
sixth and eighth innings. The Sturgeon entered the ninth inning with a four-run advantage, but
Dublin’s offense came alive at the perfect time.
Sam Ott powered the Leprechauns offense, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs, and two runs
scored. Timothy Wagner added two hits, three runs, two walks, and two RBIs, while Gabriel Sepulveda
drove in three runs with two sacrifice flies.
Dylan Leek scored three times for Dublin and added two hits, including a double. Juan Gonzalez also
had two hits, while Carson Richter and Damon Hale each contributed to the 12-hit attack.
Martinez had a strong offensive night in the loss, collecting 13 hits. Nick Thompson went 5-for-6
with four runs scored and an RBI, while Jacob Klinovsky had a huge game, going 4-for-5 with a double
and five RBIs. Josiah Collado added two hits and two RBIs.
The Sturgeon appeared to be in control after scoring twice in the eighth inning, but the
Leprechauns’ six-run ninth changed the game and completed the comeback.
Dublin’s bullpen worked through a high-scoring game and held Martinez scoreless in the bottom of the
ninth to finish off the 11-9 victory.
