The Dublin Leprechauns used a seven-run fifth inning to defeat the Martinez Sturgeon 11-8.

Martinez took control in the middle innings, scoring two runs in the fourth and three runs in the fifth, but Dublin answered with its biggest inning of the night in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead for good.

Dublin finished with 11 runs on 10 hits. Juan Gonzalez and Joseph Nunn each drove in two runs, while Damon Hale also added two RBIs. Dominic Vogel went 2-for-3 and scored twice for the Leprechauns.

Martinez was led by DAndre Gaines, who went 3-for-5 with two home runs, two runs scored and five RBIs. Jacob Klinovsky also homered and drove in two runs for the Sturgeon.

The Sturgeon scored two runs in the ninth to close the gap, but Dublin held on for the win.

Martinez finished with 8 runs, 11 hits and 3 errors. Dublin finished with 11 runs, 10 hits and 2 errors.
