San Rafael Pacifics Rally Past Martinez Sturgeon in 11 Innings

June 2 2023 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Martinez Sturgeon 4-3 in 11 innings at Albert Park. San Rafael scored twice in the first inning, while Martinez answered with runs in the third and sixth to tie the game at 2-2. Each team added a run in the 11th before the Pacifics scored twice in the bottom half to secure the victory.

Kevin Johnson led San Rafael with three hits, two runs, one RBI and a double and triple. Tyler Georgeson and Grant Victor also drove in runs for the Pacifics. Martinez received two hits from Luke Johnson and Sam Freedman, while Paul Carreno added a double and Cain Agis drove in a run.

Austin Fitzpatrick earned the win after allowing three hits and one run over 5.2 innings, with two walks and five strikeouts. Jayson Summers worked 5.1 innings for San Rafael and surrendered two runs on four hits while striking out six. Martinez starter Harrison Aiken went 10 innings, giving up two runs on seven hits and striking out nine. Daniel Ramos took the loss after allowing two runs in two-thirds of an inning.
