Dublin Leprechauns Rally Past Martinez Sturgeon 5-4

July 17 2024 The Dublin Leprechauns scored once in the ninth inning to secure a 5-4 victory over the Martinez Sturgeon. Dublin finished with 10 hits and one error, while Martinez had five hits and committed three errors.

Dublin built a 3-0 lead with a three-run third inning and added another run in the fourth. Martinez answered with four runs in the bottom of the fourth, but the Leprechauns stayed within one before scoring the decisive run in the ninth. Stone Miyao went 2-for-4 with two runs, while D. Gardiner and V. Ceniceros each collected two hits. T. Latham, C. Evans, T. Bridges and Ceniceros drove in one run apiece.

Makano Fo earned the win after allowing one hit and no runs over 3.1 innings, striking out two without issuing a walk. Jonathan Russamanni worked the first 5.2 innings for Dublin, allowing four runs, two earned, on four hits with four walks and five strikeouts. Martinez starter E. Estrada surrendered four earned runs on seven hits in four innings, and Harrison Aiken took the loss despite allowing one unearned run over five innings with three hits, two walks and six strikeouts.
