SAN RAFAEL, California � Paul Carreno delivered the go-ahead RBI single in the sixth inning, and the Martinez Sturgeon used a creative series of pitching and defensive switches to hold off the San Rafael Pacifics, 3-2, at Albert Park.

The Pacifics took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Calan Zemaitis scored on a throwing error. Martinez answered with two runs in the third. Andrew Curran singled home Michael Pavelchak to tie the game, and Kyle Nortons fielders choice brought home Nick Thomson for a 2-1 advantage.

San Rafael tied the game in the bottom of the third after Aki Buckson singled, stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error. Zemaitis then lifted a sacrifice fly to left field to make it 2-2.

Dublin jumped ahead 2-0 in the first inning when Sam Ott delivered a two-run double. Martinez answered with four runs in the third as Michael Pavelchak and Kyle Norton each launched two-run home runs. Carson Richter tied the game at 4-4 with a two-run homer in the bottom half of the inning.

The 6th Annual 2026 Pecos League Pacific Division All Star Game will be hosted in Martinez, California on July 12, 2026 at 2PM. This will mark the fourth time Martinez has hosted the All-Star Game. "No one hosts an All-Star Game like Martinez. We are excited to bring the game back to Martinez." says Andrew Dunn of the Pecos League.

The 2026 version of the All Star Game will feature the following teams:

Bakersfield Train Robbers-9th year of play
Dublin Leprechauns-4th year of play
Martinez Sturgeon-6th year of play
Monterey Amberjacks-9th year of play
San Rafael Pacifics-15th year of play
